Learn More The founding associates of HealthStat Rx discovered they had similar patient care philosophies while working together for a national long term care pharmacy operator.  All three associates had family members suffering from chronic conditions in the home and they envisioned the need for a specialty pharmacy to service this particular patient population. They developed their pharmaceutical model to be an extension of the physician's practice by working closely together to meet the total healthcare needs of the chronic patient. HealthStat Rx first opened its doors in October of 2000 in Atlanta, Georgia.  The only employees at that time were the founding friends, Patrick Dunham, Pankaj Patel and Scott Zepp.  HealthStat Rx initially served patients suffering from Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease.  HealthstatRx continues to service this respiratory patient population today working with over 100 medical equipment companies and over 1000 different pulmonary specialists. HealthStat Rx has experienced tremendous growth in other product lines throughout the years.  In 2001, we began servicing the diabetic population by offering a full line of diabetic supplies delivered to the home.  In 2003 not only did HealthStat Rx expand the square footage of the original office but also expanded the product line by servicing the workers compensation market.  Severely injured workers in the home could now use Healthstat Rx to receive their 90 day supply of their maintenance medications. In 2004 HealthStat Rx began to offer custom bubble packaging to patients diagnosed with HIV.  This medication management program provides multiple tools to increase the patient's adherence to their complicated medication regimen. In 2005 we began providing specialty injectables to the patient in the home diagnosed with Hepatitis C.  In 2006 HealthStat Rx expanded operations significantly.  In Atlanta we moved into a new building with double the square footage.  We also opened our first branch facility in Largo, Florida. Today HealthStat Rx is a full service specialty pharmacy, which provides medications for patients in the home with chronic disease states.  We currently offer products and services to meet the needs of homecare patients with chronic respiratory diseases, worker's compensation injuries, HIV, hepatitis C and diabetes.  HealthStat Rx has over 25 fulltime employees, coordinating medication deliveries nationwide.  We accept Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance and we participate in the federal Aids Drug Assistance Program. Each day HealthStat Rx's patient care coordinators monitor the well-being and medication needs of hundreds of chronically ill patients in the home.  Our expert pharmacists are available 24 hours per day 7 days per week.  The original three founders still manage the daily operations of HealthStat Rx.  We continue to treat all customers like family because they are.
